Tony Wood - Senior Executive, Origin Energy – currently advising Professor Ross Garnaut on the Climate Change Review
Tony Wood has over 30 years’ of experience in the fertilizer, chemical, transport and energy industries. Since July 2001 he has carried responsibility for Origin Energy’s relationships with Governments, their agencies, the media and the community. He was previously General Manager, Retail with responsibility for the marketing of natural gas, LPG and Electricity throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Over the last few years, Tony has had responsibility for Origin’s contribution to the debate on Climate Change. He has regularly contributed to conferences, industry and government working groups and media commentary on this important topic.
Tony is a Board Member of the Committee for Melbourne where he currently co-chairs a Climate Change Task Force. In March of this year, he accepted a role as advisor to Ross Garnaut who is undertaking a Review of Climate Change on behalf of the Federal Government and those of the states and territories.
Terence Jeyaretnam – Director, Net Balance Foundation
Terence has worked in corporate sustainability / sustainability reporting with over 100 companies and has verified the largest number of sustainability / environmental reports in Australia. Terence is a member of the judging panels of several sustainability awards and sustainability reporting awards, and is the National Chair of the College of Environmental Engineers. He was recently named one of Australia's most influential engineers. Terence’s voluntary roles over the years have included over ten years of work with several parts of Engineers Australia on sustainability, including Chairing both the Society for Sustainability and Environmental Engineering and the Environmental Engineering College. He is currently also the Chair of the President’s committee on Sustainability.
Pauline Gregg, Senior Manager, Sustainable Business Practices, IAG
Pauline has been involved in developing and implementing IAG’s sustainability agenda from its inception in 2001 and works with its business units on company-wide initiatives to enable sustainability understanding across the company.
Pauline represents IAG on a variety of Australian and international sustainability panels and is currently the Co-Chair of the Insurance Working Group of the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative.
Prior to joining IAG in June 2001, Pauline spent over 21 years in the public sector in Australia in roles including as an adviser to the Minister for the Environment, and several senior policy practitioner roles in conservation agencies.
Jon Jutsen, Founder and Director, Energetics
As the founder and Group Director, Business Development for Energetics (one of Australia’s leading energy, greenhouse and sustainable solutions providers), Jon Jutsen is a leading international expert on energy management. Jon is a Chemical Engineer with a Masters Degree in Applied Science and has over 25 years of global experience in the energy field.
He has received a number of awards for his contribution to energy management, including Professional Engineer of the Year, and the Millenium Medal. A Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in Australia, Jon was also selected as one of the ‘100 Most Influential Engineers in Australia’ in 2004.
Paul Toni, Climate Change and Sustainable Development Program Leader, WWF-Australia
Paul has held the position of program leader for
WWF-Australia's climate change and sustainable development policy for
the last three years. Prior to this role, he managed WWF's landclearing
campaigns in NSW, Queensland and Tasmania.
Prior joining WWF Paul was the Principal Solicitor of the NSW Environmental
Defender's Office and before that a solicitor and barrister in private
practice for 10 years specialising initially in commercial litigation and
subsequently in native title, Aboriginal land rights and administrative
law.
